The rise of dubstep has been one of the most exciting developments in electronic music in the last few years and the driving force behind its progression has been FWD. A weekly night held at Plastic People in East London gave dubstep a platform from which to showcase itself, and with every DJ in the scene passing through on a regular basis, it has become a mecca for the sound. FWD has moved from Plastic People to The End for bigger one-off events, first in the summer of 2006 and then again in 2007, and in 2008 the parties here at The End will become more regular, a real indication of dubstep’s growth in popularity.
