Musicotherapie - Short & Sweet 29/02/2008

For the second year in a row, the Orange British Academy Film Awards have chosen Short & Sweet to screen all the 2008 short film and short animation nominees. To whet our appetites, Julia of Short & Sweet has supplied this quirky and cool animation ‘Musicotherapie’. A doctor (who is also a monkey) trying to work in a hospital is driven slowly mad by the the music in his head (or is it all around him?) An inspired and surreal animation which makes music out of the noise a snake makes when it's put through a blender, an octopus sushi chef slicing sashimi and a dog opening beer bottles with his teeth… no really…

'Musicotherapie' is by Amael Isnard, Manuel Javelle and Clement Picon

The Orange British Academy Film Awards finalists for the short films screened on Tuesday 4th March are 'Dog Altogether' directed by Paddy Considine, 'The Crumblegiant' by John McCloskey, 'Head over Heels' by Osbert Parker and 'The One and Only Herb McGwyer Plays Wallis Island' directed by James Griffiths.
