Mr C - Secret London
Born and bred Londoner Mr C names five London locations he could not live without
Phonica
The only record shop I use in London nowadays is Phonica in Poland Street. If you're looking for house, techno, electro, minimal or even soul & funk then Phonica have it in abundance. They always seem to know how to empty my wallet. I can be really picky with what I buy here and still walk out with over 20 records each week.
Brick Lane Bagel Bakery
It's open 24 hours a day and comes like a mirage in the desert when you tumble out of one of those dodgy East London booze dens at 5am. I've been using the place for over 25 years so they always have a friendly smile and a chat. Go for the onion platzels instead of the bagel, they're softer with onions baked onto the top of them and are delicious with smoked salmon and cream cheese...and you can use the line "anyone got any salmon".. ha ha ha ha ha!
Lowlander, Drury Lane
I'm not generally a bar type person but there's a bar in Drury lane called Lowlander that sells every Belgian beer you can imagine. Some of these beers are so high end you have to pay £8 a bottle but soooooo worth it... and it's only two minutes from The End so a great place to get half sozzled before you come to Superfreq. ;-)
Hampstead Heath
If you want to impress a date, take him/her to the top of Kite Hill in Hampstead Heath for the most spectacular view of our wonderful city. This view is breath taking and makes a cuddle that extra bit spesh!
Dover Street Market, Mayfair.
Dover Street market in Dover Street (believe it or not), is an amazing clothes shopping experience. Here you will find clothes from the finest designers in the world and have a great shopping experience if you have a bundle of cash or a large limit on your credit card. It's also only a stones throw away from the stores of Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, B Store & South Molton Street. Also check out Selfredges for high end clobber.
