Main Room & Lounge: Richie Hawtin , Marc Houle (live), Troy Pierce

AKA: Sancho Panza feat. Matt Brown & Jimmy K-Tel, Eren

A Richie Hawtin set is always a special event, so there was the usual ripple of excitement around The End's office as the Minus line up was revealed for September 29th. Marc Houle live, Troy Pierce and of course Richie himself occupied The End, whilst Sancho Panza and their guest Eren took care of AKA. 'Wow' is all there is to say about this night. Relentless techno from Minus, with Hawtin taking full control of our sound system and pounding the dancefloor into submisssion. Troy Pierce built a slow burning buzz in the main room, which came to a head when Marc Houle dropped a blistering live version of 'Bay of Figs'. Hawtin's arrival saw spontaneous burts of cheering from the crowd, and the lighting guys testing out the club's new lasers for the first time. Continuing until, well, stupid o' clock, this was a cracking night through-and-through.
