La Ronde

It's an amusement park. I'm like a child when I go there! I like the most scary rides! In the last few years they've invested quite a lot of money to buy the biggest games from some of the biggest amusement parks in the world, and I think it's an amazing thing to live in a city where right downtown there's an island on which there is such a big and pretty amusement park like La Ronde. Two weeks ago I even played there for their special yearly event where they stay open all night, and the gig was fantastic, and before the gig we rode the games in the middle of the night and it was crazy fun!
Marché Jean-Talon

Two blocks from my house, a marvelous market where you can find the most delicious fruits, vegetables, plants, flowers, meat, fish, everything! It's mostly open in the summer time, but in the winter they have a small indoors section where you can still find quite a few things. But of course it's not as pretty as in the summer time, with all its colours, perfumes and all the people walking around.

Fantastic Piknic Electronik, where I usually play every end of summer on the long Labor Day weekend. It's an outdoor event happening every Sunday afternoon on Ste-Helene island just off downtown Montreal (same island where La Ronde is on). A huge sound system, a bar, carpets on the cement and grass and trees all around the dance floor with a beautiful view of the St-Laurent river across which you can see downtown Montreal. Every week a different DJ, international or local, and you'll find all kinds of people, from families with their kids and dogs, to the joggers who happen to pass by the island on their run, to the expert clubbers looking for an after party, or the unusual person who just feels like dancing on a pretty Sunday afternoon. Everyone smiles and life is good! My gig there last week has been the most amazing one for me so far, over 3500 people attended the gig, it has also been the biggest day for them in terms of people since the beginning of their event 4 years ago. It is indeed my favourite gig in the whole world!
Jun-I Sushi

I have to say this is by far my favourite restaurant in Montreal!! I can easily go eat there 2-3 times a week, I never get tired of it. Just like in Japan, the chefs salute you in Japanese when you walk in and out of the restaurant. It's a very trendy place but warm and cozy at the same time. Needless to say the food is fantastic. It's just perfect!
Parking Club

This is another of my favorite places where I usually play about 3 to 4 times a year. A great club night going on every Thursday night, where the crowd is truly educated and ready to listen to proper underground music, from electro to techno and house, whether it’s more minimal or more hard, they can take it. It's really cool to be able to have such good gigs in your home town, with a crowd that love you, and not always having to cross the world in order to have a really amazing night and play for a really great crowd. The soundsystem is fantastic too, and the resident DJ (DJ Mini) always does a super good job at opening her own night, and everything is just perfect for me when I play there.
