Italian-sounding, but Plymouth residing Aldo (he stole his name from a Peter Sellers film) has a record box of Mary Poppins style proportions - more and more magic things just keep popping out of it. He has spent his whole life spending all his money on records and is slowly replacing all the furniture in his house with stacks of vinyl.

A refreshing change from a world of egotistical DJs trying to beat each other to be the first to play the latest white label, Aldo has the knack of playing tunes that you love but maybe didn't even realise that you loved. He is pretty much a walking back catalogue of every record that ever existed. He doesn't give a monkeys about trying to be cool, and in doing so actually ends up being the coolest person in the room - mixing up Blur, Prince, James Brown, Candi Stanton, Roni Size, Groove Armada, The Klaxons and Justin Timberlake without dropping a beat. On the production side of things, he has remixed Fat Boy Slim, and his debut album is chock full of pop, funk, reggae, soul and breakbeat.
