North London duo Artificial Intelligence have been on the scene in some capacity for over ten years, but it wasn’t until 2003 and their debut 12” on V Recordings that they begun to receive the deserved recognition for their work.  Their early work on V, as well as Soul:R, Commercial Suicide and Dispatch confirmed them as serious talents, and since then they’ve gone on to release killer tune after killer tune, as well as remixing for the likes of Good Looking and Full Cycle, not to mention Fat Freddy’s Drop and Kelis.  Their tunes have a unique blend of the rough with the smooth, soulful yet dancefloor and as a result they’ve gained popularity and recognition from across the scene.  They run two labels, Widescreen, for their own music, and tracks from select other producers, with a ‘Prototype level of quality control’; they also run Integral, a label for tunes from across the scene that the guys support, with releases so far from the likes of Alix Perez, Heist and Survival.  With an album on the way due to be released on V Recordings, there’s a lot more to look forward to from this talented outfit.
