DJ Profile
Carl Cox - king of clubs. What need more needs to be said about one of the world's best known and best loved DJ's? From his early days playing soul, disco and hip hop, kicking off his legendary 3 deck mixing at the illegal raves of the late 80's, hitting the Top 40, making an appearance in Human Traffic and frankly being one of the biggest DJ's on the planetĀ - Carl Cox has packed a lot into the last twenty years. His first mix album FACT sold 250,000 copies to date, plus he has run several successful record labels - MMR, Ultimatum Breaks and Intec - as well as Ultimate Music Management. His Ultimate Base residency at London's Velvet Underground was one of the capital's seminal techno parties. Despite his huge level of success, Carl Cox remains one of the friendliest faces in dance music. His personality far exceeds his ego, and his huge grin as he jumps around behind the decks, shaking clubbers hands and generally looking like he's having more fun than everyone in the room put together, makes him one of the scene's true legends. Who else would we chose to headline The End's tent at Homelands 2000?
