Diesel is one third of the acclaimed dance music act X-Press 2, alongside Rocky and Ashley Beadle. They burst onto the scene in 1993 with their debut track ‘Muzik Express’, and since then have continued to make innovate and surprise. From the warm and deeply satisfying hook of ‘Muzikism’ to the languid vocals of ‘Lazy’, you never quite know what they’ll come up with next. Live, they are renowned for their frenzied six-deck mixing sessions, bursting with effects-ridden mic performances; one of the trio  mixes whilst the other two thread in more beats, vocals and samples. Diesel is highly respected as a DJ in his own right, and is a regular guest at AKA for nights such as Freerange and Holic. He has also made solo forays into production, including his ‘Zig Zag’ track released under his Yellow Sox moniker on Freerange towards the end of 2007.
