Electric 6 burst noisily onto the scene with the anthemic ‘Danger! High Voltage!’ in 2001. Although they had actually been around since 1996, this was the single that launched them on an unsuspecting British public. With a definite glam-metal influence, if The Darkness were better, cleverer and half as cool as Electric 6, they could maybe have been friends. Although don’t tell Electric 6’s lead singer Dick Valentine we said that.  The guitar riffs are all-American rock, but curious lyrics such as, “feed my fucking habit, feed my fucking rabbit” mark them out as from quite a different breed for your run-of-the-mill rockers. With their fourth album entitled ‘I Shall Exterminate Everything Around Me That Restricts Me From Being The Master’, you don’t want to mess with these boys – they mean business.
