Frankie Valentine is old school. His involvement in music started out lifting reggae soundsystems from party to party, and he fell in love with music and the scene. As rave dawned in London Frankie was to be found playing house and garage, before traveling to New York and Chicago in search of the sound. He's a regular visitor there today. Frankie plays and produces lush, melodic driving house, disco and world music, think Osunlade, or the sound represented by Gilles Peterson's now defunct This! party at Bar Rumba. Considered by many as one of the original dons of the London soulful house scene, both here and in the US, The Players is proud to call him one of its resident DJs.
