Hercules and Love Affair is the brainchild of New York based producer-come-DJ Andrew Butler. His self-titled debut album released on DFA was widely lauded for its brilliant referencing of vintage disco and house, combined with great songwriting. He approaches the band as somewhat of a collaborative affair; Andy writes most of the lyrics and melodies, but works alongside artists like Mercury Award winner Antony Hegarty for further inspiration. Andy joined us for a DJ set back in March 2008 and took time to answer some questions – check out his interview in the links to the right.
