As well as playing at Trash, Hot Chip also headlined a special Bugged Out! lineup in March 07. Bugged Out! handed over the keys of The End to Hot Chip to curate the night. The band all approach the art of spinning differently, and the night aimed to reflect this: Joe and Alexis are more party jocks while Felix opts for a more melodic, minimal approach with tunes in his bag similar to the Audion remix of ‘No Fit State’. Alongside Hot Chip DJ sets across both rooms, they lined up the mysterious, enigmatic Black Devil Disco Club whose fans include everyone from Aphex Twin to Morgan Geist and James Holden; Paris-dwelling freak-house duo Noze whose clothes often fall off at the end of their boozy live sets; Germany’s Bodenstandig 2000 whose ‘Maxi German Rave Blast Hits 3’ on Rephlex best sums up their rave punk sound; Erol Alkan, whose haunting mix of The Chips’ ‘Boy From School’ concluded many DJs' sets last year; and ghetto-pop boy wonder Sinden.
