Jerome Sydenham is well established and highly respected, both as an innovative producer, a skilled DJ and as head of the fantastic Ibadan Records. He started out as an A&R for Atlantic Records, before deciding to immerse himself fully in the world of electronic music. Production credits to his name include ‘Timbuktu’, ‘Stockholm Go Bang’ and the fantastic ‘Sandcastles’. Part of his appeal lie in his ability to jump seamlessly between genres, from techno to deep melodic house and back again. He approaches his label in the same way as he approaches his DJing – with an ear for quality rather than genre – making it an imprint highly respected amongst DJs. More recently, he’s set up two new offshoot labels, Apotek - focussing on deep techno, and Avocado, run in collaboration with Rune RK. As if that wasn’t enough, he’s a dab hand in the kitchen as well!
