Jesper Dahlback

House/Techno/Electro

Biography

Jesper Dahlback, older cousin of John Dahlback, has been a key player in the Swedish house scene for over a decade and has his fingers in so many musical pies it would be impossible to list them all here.   In the early nineties he set up the Globe Studios in Stockholm along with Adam Beyer, and shortly afterwards he started working with Swedish techno label Planet Rhythm, before setting up two of his own imprints –Blank and DK. After several solo releases, his first artist album was released in 1998 - entitled ‘Stockholm’ in homage to his hometown. As if being a producer, DJ, studio owner and label boss wasn’t enough, he also formed a live band called ‘Brommage Dub’ playing electronic jazz dub fusion. Recently he’s been collaborating with his cousin as Hugg & Pepp or Dahlback & Dahlback, crafting deliciously deep driving electro influenced tech house.
