DJ Profile
Jumpin Jack Frost
Frost has been DJing on the London scene since the 80s, originally finding himself as part of the acid house circuit via the Carwash nights, where he played alongside Fabio, Grooverider and Bryan Gee. As the rave scene exploded, Frost was at its forefront playing a huge mix of styles. However, as the music began to evolve it was the emerging jungle scene that took him, and he soon set up his own label with partner Bryan Gee; V Recordings, the label that launched the careers of Roni Size, Krust and DJ Die. They also set up offshoots Chronic and Philly Blunt, which was home to one of the most enduring jungle anthems of all time, ‘The Burial’, under the moniker Leviticus. Bryan and Frost’s Planet V nights was responsible for some of London’s most unforgettable drum & bass events over the years, at venues such as Fabric, Bagley’s and of course, The End. Frost remains a force on the DJ circuit, and his contribution to the scene over the years cannot be underestimated.
