Biography

After cutting his teeth as promoter and resident DJ at the Technique club night in Leeds, Kid Blue (aka Rory Natkiel) burst on to the scene in 2006. Having made an impression at many of the UK's leading nights including Tribal Sessions, Hum, Platform 12, Urban Gorilla and Tangled, Kid Blue was snapped up by Chew The Fat! in April 2006 as the club's new resident. Further bookings in Georgia, Spain, Ibiza, the US and Africa have proved that the Kid Blue sound is also starting to make waves outside the UK.  He mixes up genres - prompting DJ Magazine to say 'Is he techno? Is he breaks? Who cares when the tunes are this good'

His debut single 'Nothing To Lose' on Meat Katie's Lot49 label received huge support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Hybrid, James Zabiela, Fergie, Pete Tong, Annie Nightingale, Elite Force and Meat Katie himself. Following this up was the storming 'Hairy Sambuca' for Fat! Records, which was made the 'Moneyshot Single of the Issue' in DJ Mag and entered the Hype Chart at number 13. Kid Blue has several new productions in the pipeline, including remixes on high profile labels such as Lot49 & Sinister Recordings, as well as his first solo album. Expect to hear a lot more from this kid in the future.
