DJ Profile
In a wonderful twist of irony, Hans Peter Lindstrom is a master craftsman of wistful, elegant house, techno and electronica, who until a few years ago didn’t even like dance music. He used to play the piano in a gospel choir, then the Hammond organ in a Deep Purple tribute band. He grew up on Bob Dylan and country and western, so when he entered the world of dance music it was from a fresh and completely alien perspective. His productions range from jazzy downtempo numbers, to the epic Jean-Michel Jarre-esque ‘I Feel Space’, which sold 17,000 copies. He set up the excellent Feedelity recordings, and also teamed up with fellow Norwegian Prins Thomas to create lo-fi spaced out disco – we had them doing their live thing at Bugged Out! in May 2006.
