Loco Dice started off his music career as a rapper and hip hop producer going by the name Dice’C and supporting artists such as Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube. He gradually found himself getting more and more immersed in the house and techno scene, until he realised that his true calling was of a faster, bleepier and altogether more electronic nature. His Tribehouse residency really got him noticed – including by Timo Maas who snapped him up for his label – and Dice soon teamed up with super producer Martin Buttrich to create his first club smash ‘Phat Dope Shit’. Since then Loco Dice has rapidly risen to become one of the hottest DJ’s and producers around. He has a seemingly magic ability to strip a track down to its bare bones whilst still maintaining the power of the original - remixing artists as diverse as Layo & Bushwacka! and Warren G. His reputation was cemented when he created ‘Seeing Through Shadows’ – one of the biggest track of 2006, and with an artist album planned and hectic international DJ schedule – we can be assured he’ll be won’t be leaving the dance community to return to his hip hop roots any time soon. He’s played here as a Clandestino favourite, as well as other nights.
