DJ Profile
2007 has witnessed the emergence of one of drum & bass great new talents, Lynx. However, he’s no newcomer. First releasing a track at the age of 17 in 1996 with Southampton based hardcore pioneers Ramos, Supreme and Sunset before disappearing to work tirelessly on his sound, in the process earning a masters degree in audio technology and six years commercial studio experience. Between 2001 and 2002, he began writing techno-infused d&b, and collaborating on a number of tracks with the likes of Raiden and Skinny. As time went on he began focusing on more deep liquid sounds, working with French DJ Flow on a track for Renegade Recordings. Fine tuning his sound in the interim period, in 2006 and 2007 he has exploded, with his huge tunes littering the sets of all the A list, and smashing clubs around the world. From the unforgettable ‘Disco Dodo’ to ‘B Box Roller’ on Zinc’s Bingo Beats, to ‘Mariachi’ on Fabio’s Creative Source to the incredible ‘Global Enemies’ on Soul:R, Lynx tracks have been troubling sound systems around the globe. It’s Soul:R, Marcus Intalex’ classic label, that has now welcomed Lynx into the fold on a permanent basis, a bona fide stamp of approval if ever there was one! DJing up and down the country and beyond, Lynx can regularly be found tearing up The End’s dancefloor.
