Biography

Martin Landsky started his DJ career in Hamburg, playing every Friday at Front, whilst working during the day as an studio engineer for Studio Funk, and then for the distribution department of Container Records. He soon started up his own label – Effortil Records. It was when he moved to Berlin in 1999, however, and set up his own studio, plus relaunched his record label as Intim Recordings, that he really started to taste success. He began playing regularly with the Poker Flat crew, and mixed the label’s second compilation in 2002. His has also remixed artists such as Marc Romboy, Booka Shade and Eyerer & Chopstick, and his own productions, such as 2006’s ‘1,000 miles’,   combine sharp beats and wistful melodies.
