Sicilian-born, Montreal-raised Misstress Barbara is a name with real clout in the world of techno. She made her name in the harder side of techno, although she’s recently developed a more groove-based sound.  Her production has seen her release music on such labels as the legendary Dave Angel’s Rotation Records, Digweed’s Bedrock and Tronic.  However, the majority of her work has found a home on her own fantastic label, Relentless which became Iturnem.  Recently she had a 12” on James Holden’s super-cutting edge label Border Community which has proved her ability to remain a forerunner of the scene and has also seen her performing for James’ main room crowd here at The End.
