Motorcitysoul is made up of Matthias Vogt and Christian ‘C-Rock’ Rindermann. They formed when Christian was working with Matthias to produce his solo album, and they worked so well together that they decided to become a permanent duo - thus “the Pet Shop Boys of deep house” (in their own words) was born! Both bring something different to the partnership; while C-Rock is from a producer / DJ background, Matthias’ roots are as a live musician – something he still purses as part of his Matthias Vogt Trio and [re:jazz] projects. They’ve released on some of the best deep house labels around, including Simple, Freerange and Dessous, and have remixed artists such as Phonique and Blaze. Their DJ sets are made of deep, driving, upbeat melodic house with a few cheeky classics chucked in for good measure. The real Pet Shop Boys better watch their backs…
