DJ Profile
The least minimal ‘minimal’ producers around? Perhaps. Although they fit into the category of stripped down techno – the Pan Pot sound is dynamic and rich with sounds. Signed to the excellent Mobilee records, they released their first 12 inch in 2005 – the ‘Popy & Caste EP’, bursting with gritty, dirty, funk. Two years later, and they’ve had the honour of releasing Mobilee’s first artist album ‘Pan-O-Rama’ – a collection of sublime techno that brings together the sounds of the past and the future, and sits it very firmly in the present. Eerie vocals, experimental bleeps and melodies in minor keys all form an integral part of the Pan-Pot sound – and they have become firm favourites across Europe both DJing and performing live, including at Clandestino in October 2007.
