DJ Profile
Peshay
Peshay has been there and done that when it comes to drum & bass. Starting out in the 80s, by the time the 90s came round he was a full time musician and a player on the rave circuit. His first release with Bizzy B in 1992 was a hardcore EP called '2 Dope EP'. Around this time he was beginning to get to know the likes of Goldie, LTJ Bukem and 4 Hero. This led to regular releases on possibly the three most important labels in the early days of drum & bass - Metalheadz, Good Looking and Reinforced. By the late 90s, Peshay's talent had been recognised by Island Records, on which he released his critically acclaimed debut album 'Miles From Home' in 1999. He also became something of a remixer-du-jour with classic remixes of artists such as Goldie, Photek, Bukem, Courtney Pine, Carl Craig, Jay Dee and even John Coltrane. In 2002 he launched his own imprint Cubik Music, which has seen him release two more albums, 'Fuzion' and 'Jammin'. Peshay is one of the great talents of his generation and continues to release inspiring music and spin storming DJ sets to this day.
