The enigmatic Photek is one of drum & bass' great talents.  He first gained popularity in the developing drum & bass scene of the early nineties, releasing music through Certificate 18, Good Looking and Metalheadz amongst others, under the name Photek as well as a host of other aliases including Studio Pressure, Aquaries, Sentinel and Code of Practise.  He's famed for his intricate drum programming and intense, stripped back productions.  His early works such as 'Rings Around Saturn' remain standards for the genre, whilst his late 90s LPs 'The Hidden Camera' and 'Solaris' were massively influential on the darker side of drum & bass.  Whilst he's continued to consistently release drum & bass tracks, predominantly on his own Photek Productions imprint, since the turn of the decade, his DJ performances remain super-rare and are always worth savouring.  Photek once played a one-off house set in The End's main room, and we were lucky enough to have recorded it...check out the Music section of the site.
