DJ Profile
When did Norway suddenly become the home of some of the most interesting and original electronic music around? Somewhere along the line a chap called Prins Thomas may have had something to do with it. He started out messing around on decks when he was just a kid, before taking a detour into rock and punk bands for several years. When he found his way back to electronic music he began producing what can best be described as ethereal cosmic disco in 2001. His debut mix album ‘Cosmo Galactic Prism’ was released earlier this year – a beautifully bewildering melange of techno, funk, downbeat, prog rock and other genres which chances are you never even knew existed. As well as producing and remixing his own tracks, he runs two record labels – FullPupp, set up to release tracks from his talented Norwegian peers, and Internasjonal, focusing on global artists. Fans are keeping their fingers crossed to another instalment of the excellent ‘Lindstrom and Prins Thomas’, but in mean time try and catch one (of both) halves of this formidable duo at a club near you.
