Selfish Cunt are a London-based electronic-influenced punk band.  Originally forming in 2003 they immediately made a name for themselves with their provocative material and exciting, aggressive live show.  Often likened to Iggy Pop, front man Martin Tomlinson’s on stage antics quickly won over the critics, having been labeled ‘London’s most exciting live band’ by Time Out, one of the ‘40 most important bands in the UK’ by The Guardian, and ‘the best rock band in Britain’ by NME whilst simultaneously getting the band barred from every Barfly venue, the ICA, The Egg and On The Rocks!  Their debut album, ‘No Wicked Heart Shall Prosper’ was a dangerous and edgy debut, as you would expect from them, though it didn’t make the same splash their famous live shows have.  With a new album on the way, there’s little chance they’ll be aiming for a peak-time slot on CD:UK, but we can surely expect another album of thought-provoking material, and you never know, maybe another live performance here at The End!
