DJ Profile
Shane Watcha
Shane Watcha left his native South Africa in 1992, drawn by the bright lights and underground beats of London, and quickly became a well known face on the London DJ circuit – popping up everywhere from dark, dingy warehouse parties to the TDK Festival. Known for his slamming sets of stripped back techno, and his ability to create a party wherever he goes, he’s played alongside some of house music’s great luminaries such as Frankie Knuckles and Derrick Carter, and more recently Ewan Pearson and Steve Bug. These days he has an international gig schedule that takes him across the world from Moscow to Singapore and back again, plus releases on Toolroom Records and VeryVeryVeryWrong Indeed. A long time resident of London’s legendary Circo Loco parties, he also runs the startlingly titled afterhours Zombies Ate My Brain – which teams up with Jaded once a month to cause an early morning riot in AKA.
