Simon Bookish aka Leo Chadburn is one of the UK’s most versatile and unpredictable talents. He fuses electro and new wave pop with modern classical and experimental music, whilst his ebullient live shows are almost performance art in their nature. The breadth of his work ranges from pop vocals to leftfield improvisation, from remixing to solo performance and beyond. He has released two albums as Simon Bookish on London label Use Your Teeth, has remixed the likes of Franz Ferdinand and Grizzly Bear, and has made guest appearances on albums by the likes of Patrick Wolf and Saint Etienne. In 2007 he co-wrote a brand new score for, and appeared in, the National Theatre’s production of ‘Caucasian Chalk Circle’. He appeared live here at The End for Trash, in his Simon Bookish guise, in 2005 with one of his famous live shows; the video is well worth a look.
