DJ Profile
Suv
As a founding member of Reprazent and Full Cycle, Suv can lay claim to a vital role in many of the finest moments in drum & bass. Starting his musical career as a member of The Fresh Four, he tasted chart success in the late 80s with 'Wishing on a Star'. After hooking up with Roni Size, Die and Krust in the early 90s he begun collaborating with his new colleagues on tracks for V Recordings and their newly formed label, Full Cycle. Suv became an integral part of Reprazent, becoming known as the Echo and FX man by the other members, and playing percussion in their legendary live shows. His solo work has seen him release two albums, 'Desert Rose' in 2001, and 'Follow The Sun' in 2003, both of which were heavily influenced by sounds from around the world and were picked up on by not only DJs from the scene but also the likes of Gilles Peterson and the late, great, John Peel. Suv continues to push boundaries within drum & bass with the recent launch of his own label Playside Recordings which has seen him release some of the more forward thinking d&b of the last few years.
