North Londoner Tendai begun his career in drum & bass as a promoter in 2000. He played warm up sets at his night Hexion from 2001 onwards, and as the night grew, so did the size of the names he was playing alongside; from Andy C to DJ Marky, from Goldie to Grooverider. In 2005 Tendai snared himself a residency at Swerve, where he has been rocking The End’s lounge on rotation ever since. From there, he earned himself residencies at Grooverider’s Sunday night gathering Grace, Primal at Turnmills, and Movement at Bar Rumba. In addition he’s graced the decks at Fabric, Heaven and has toured internationally; blazing trails across Brasil, Estonia and Austria. He has been in the studio of late working on tunes with DJ S.P.Y. so look out for the results of that in the near future. It takes a massively talented DJ to be plucked from the masses by Fabio, so you miss a Tendai set at your peril. We expect much more to come from this guy.
