London band The Duke Spirit have a huge following on both sides of the Atlantic and beyond.  Fronted by the vocals of Leila Moss, the band has a sound reminiscent of Velvet Underground & Nico.  The five piece released their debut album, ‘Cuts Across Land’ in May 2005, a work that marked them out as a serious talent, and saw them earning support slots for the likes of Kasabian, Razorlight, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Mercury Rev and Queens of the Stone Age.  They continue to tour heavily, and as the release of their second album, ‘Neptune’ approaches, they remain a massive favourite of the Durrr crowd.
