Yousef cut his teeth as a resident at Liverpool institution Cream, but it was when he left Cream and set up Circus at The Masque that he really came into his own as a DJ and promoter. Initially set up with the humble aim of being somewhere that he could play records for his mates, Circus is now a Liverpool institution in its own right, pulling in over 1,000 clubbers every month and attracting guests such as Jeff Mills and Carl Cox. Yousef is known and loved for his style of jacking, energetic, housey techno – rather than jumping on the nearest musical bandwagon that comes along, he simply plays the music he loves in his own inimitable style – a true party starter.
