Hannah Holland is resident at cult night Trailer Trash, the long running Friday night raveup that mixes musical genres as well as different types of people – from drag queens to Shoreditch clubbing kids (and on their fourth birthday even giant animals). Her style is a mix of jackin’ house, techno and electro with slivers of breakbeat, dubstep or jungle – the theme running through all her selections being the basslines. She has christened her sound Batty Bass, or (charmingly) Bastard Batty Bass if she’s playing at her night of the same name, which sees her collaborating with Mama and MC Chickaboo plus soundsystem destroying megaphone. A firm fixture on London’s clubbing scene for a good few years, including regular sets at Bugged Out! here at The End, she’s now taking on Europe and the world, spreading the Batty Bass word wherever she goes.
