I have always liked electronic styled music like New Order, Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, etc. Then in 1989 got introduced to House Music. I was totally blown away after hearing sets from Larry Leven, Todd Terry, Bones and Musto, Tony Humphries, and who could forget dj Pierre and Larry heard MR Fingers himself absolute quality. I remember thinking that the tapes sounded like one long tune and wanted to know how it was done. Got myself a set of decks and started putting my own sets together. I have now graduated into making my own music with a small studio i have built up over the last few years, which is going very well. I also like photography, reading good books, and art, and of course GOOD friends, madcaps, Amsterdam in the summer what else could you ask for! Maybe a little peyote, life is GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah i used to use sony soundforge fora while, but changed to steinberg wavelab as it works better with cubase and supports all the plug ins that go with it,but its basically the same thing an editing and mastering suite. Not sure if you can m.i.d.i up hardware to reason i dont think you can,but you could defo use pro tools, logik or cubase. I use reason myself with a controller so i still have the hands on feel & i love it ,even though some people dont rate iti think its excellant for creating ideas quickly & i know the software inside out now its hard to give up,i ll prob be always using it, i am sure you can get tb 303,808 refills for it now too,i will try n get up to see your set up when i can,but mostly busy with work n missus these days n hardly ever up that side of town,so bear with me,i took note o yer no so i ll bell ya if close by.......for now p

well horses for courses i suppose, but using a p.c or mac is not as easy as u think,u can still be learning a program like logic or cubase 10 years later( as i m finding out),sounds & loops can be changed & manipulated so much with p.c, you also have endless effects & processers that you can use time & time again AT ONCE!,(depending n the size of your p.c of course)without having to go buy new hardware all the time & these effects are getting better & better all the time, imagine running a sound through a couple of reverbs (hats or snares for example) then a few delays, with hardware,it just takes up to much room and that isnt even your sound modules, what do u do about compression?do u have a compresser? because without one, drums can sound a bit flat, the same goes for mastering, it can all be done with a p.c mate!! its an argument still going on between producers to this day,but more of them are using computers now, i guess its just what you prefer or are used to.
