Heading up the record label that has reinvigorated and redefined deep house is a tough job, but someone's got to do it. Jimpster (Jamie Odell) set up Freerange ten years ago, and a decade on the label is stronger than ever. Jimpster's own productions are expertly crafted slices of house that make your heart soar and your feet move, and his DJ sets embrace all the deeper shades of house music, whilst still having the drive and energy to make it impossible for you to leave the dancefloor.

Jimpster is also a member of the much lauded improvisational dance outfit The Bays - who despite never releasing a single track or album are regarded as one of the most exciting electronic music acts around. Recently described by Ben Watt as 'a future soul kingpin and bittersweet house don', he has a lot to live up to - somehow we're sure he'll manage!
