DJ Profile
Krust is an undisputed stalwart of the drum & bass scene. Another graduate of the Bristol music scene alongside the likes of Roni Size and DJ Die, Krust's first experience in the music industry was as part of Fresh 4 who had a top ten hit in 1989 with 'Wishing on a Star'. However, in 1990 it was when he met Roni Size and they begun pooling their musical talents that things really began to happen. By '93 they'd launched Full Cycle Records, and Krust had begun releasing classics such as 'Jazz Note', 'Maintain' and 'Set Speed' on the legendary V Recordings. By 1997 as part of Reprazent he had achieved worldwide acclaim by winning the Mercury Music Prize for their collaborative album 'Newforms'. He rapidly followed that up with a solo album on Talkin' Loud, 'Coded Language', whilst maintaining a big presence on the underground with huge tracks such as 'Warhead'. He went on to release several more albums in the following years, with a second Reprazent album 'In The Mode' in 2000, a join album with Die as Kamanchi in 2003 and a second solo album, 'Hidden Knowledge' in 2006. Krust remains a drum & bass legend to this day, still a hugely in-demand DJ and a studio wizard.
