DJ Profile
London based DJ and producer Rob Mello has been spinning for over twenty years, with gigs all over the world. He was a key member of the Classic family – the label which has been responsible for releasing numerous house gems – and he actually produced the label’s 100th (and final) release. As well as his solo work, he has produced as part of house duo Disco Elements, and with Ashley Beadle for Black Science Orchestra’s first single. Working with Matthew Herbert he wrote much of the music for Human Traffic, for which he received a BAFTA nomination. In the summer of 2006 he started up his own label Disco 45, releasing mainly his own material and collaborations with other artists. These days you can catch him playing in AKA for Luke Solomon’s excellent Little Creatures residency.
