Youngsta is one of the original FWD residents.  He began DJing at 12, and was appearing on pirate radio aged 13, playing two step and vocal garage.  For years he had one of the leading shows on Rinse FM (the most important radio station in grime and dubstep and the station that broke Wiley, Roll Deep and Dizzee Rascal.)  Along with his radio show, he manned the garage section at Blackmarket Records for many years, another crucial cog in the scene.  Although Youngsta is thus far a DJ rather than a producer, his contribution to dubstep is immeasurable, and he is one of the scene’s figureheads.  His DJ sets are loaded with the deepest and darkest sounds in dubstep and are not to be missed.  As the scene continues to spread, in large part to the global influence of Rinse, Youngsta is playing further and further afield, but can still be found playing at FWD’s home in Plastic People, and their new residency here at The End.
